The Pouderoux family have been making wine here, in the schist and clay vineyards in the Maury region, since 1826. The family vineyards, some of which are over 100 years old, produce rich, robust and intensely flavoured red wines.Grapes for the Latour de Gres are hand picked and sorted for quality, and the wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels. Deep rich, ruby colour, with aromas of dark fruit, and herbs, rich full flavour and silky tannins. Great with grilled lamb chops, and most red meats.
