Like all Musar's wine, this dry oak aged rosé is unusual. Produced by a technique outlawed in France (except Champagne) of blending a little red wine into white. The red wine in this case being 5% Cinsault. The vines grow on the slopes of the Bekaa Valley, Northeast of Beruit, on their natural roots, ungrafted, in a soil of calcareous gravels. The wine is fermented in French oak, then spends a further 7 months in barrique before bottling the year after vintage. Fuller bodied than many a rosé, it is a wine for food. Deep salmon pink in colour, it offers aromas of almonds, mediterranian herbs, oranges, grapefruit, green apples and citrus leaves. The smooth, well balanced palate has rich flavours of peaches and pears, with a lingering citric finish.
