Ancestors of the current proprietors have made wine here since 1826. The chateau is situated in Cadillac, close to Sauternes, and indeed they also produce a superb sweet botrytised white wine. The red wine has lovely ripe, supple cassis fruit and light easy tannins making this a deliciously drinkable, pure fruit style  claret.
