Domaine Faiveley Rully Les Villeranges 2017
Domaine Faiveley is a 7th generation family-owned domaine and one of the largest vineyard owners in Burgundy with 125 hectares in the Cote d’Or and Cote Chalonnaise. Their vineyard holdings include prestigious Grand and Premier Cru vineyards in Corton, Corton-Charlemagne, Chambertin Clos de Beze and Echezeaux. The domaine is known for making classic burgundies with elegance and longevity.
This is Chardonnay from clay/limestone soils in the village of Rully in the Cote Chalonnaise. The wine is aged in vats for 11 months with regular lees stirring, adding complexity. A minerally, flinty nose with ripe fruit aromas and a full, yet sophisticated, palate. Lovely with fish or shellfish dishes.
