Taylors 10 YO Tawny Port

The dominant premium Port brand in our market, Taylor's is at the vangaurd of the continued development of Port in the UK. Highly regarded for aged Tawnies as well as Vintage Ports, the house also pioneered the commercial development of the Late Bottled Vintage style, which broadened Port's appeal throughout the 70's and 80's.Taylor’s 10 Year Old Tawny is a superb example of an aged tawny port, made from
selected full red ports grown in the best vineyards of the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior. The individual wines are laid down to age in oak casks of about 630 litres capacity for an average of 10 years, during which time they lose their initial dark purple-black colour and take on the delicate ‘tawny’ hue from which the wine takes its name.                                                                                                                                                   An exceptionally fine old tawny blend, aged for an average of 10 years in oak casks.
Elegant and smooth, combining delicate wood notes and rich mellow fruit, it is bottled
for immediate drinking. Excellent with soft cheeses such as brie, and a superb dessert
wine, particularly with dishes made with coffee or almonds, Taylor 10 Year Old Tawny
is delicious served lightly chilled at the end of the meal.
