Unusual for Cognac, Château Montifaud grows grapes, distils and matures the final Cognac at the boundary between the Grande and Petite Champagne districts. Their young spirit is sought after by the big Cognac houses to boost the quality of their blends. That kept by the property matures into an unadulterated, pure, fine and perfumed Cognac. The VS is aged for 5 years.
