Bollinger remains a family owned and managed Champagne house. Recent investment in new prestigious vineyards means that Bollinger remains rare among its peers in being able to source over two thirds of its grapes from its own vineyards. Grand Année is unusual in that vinification takes place exclusively in very old oak, which encourages depth and complexity without imposing oak character.
