Chiarlo Nivole Moscato d'Asti - 2014, Half Bottle
Michele Chiarlo is one of Piemonte's truly great winemakers. The family owns 60 hectares of vineyards in three of the classic growing areas - Langhe, Monferrato and Gavi - and also have access to another 50 hectares through their long-term relationship with growers. Michele Chiarlo wines win awards worldwide and the classy Nivole is a refreshing Moscato that has them queueing round the block.
This wine undergoes partial fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks until alcohol reaches 5%, when the temperature is lowered to arrest the fermentation, retaining the sweetness and freshness of the Moscato grape.
This is a rich, delicate and well-balanced dessert wine from the Muscat grape. Gently sparkling, the fruit dances lightly on the tongue. Serve chilled with desserts, pastries or strawberries.
